Third time comes the harm

Hi all, and welcome back here after a while. The last time I talked to you (and some time before that), I was writing about my Nacatl Sundial deck, better known as Intihuatana. After writing that, the deck went through a lot of changes and I’m still not where I want to be. I changed the deck around so much that I can’t even call it Intihuatana! Continue reading

Taking a leap

As you will know by now, my decks tend to fall on the control-side of the spectrum. The cards I like are rarely fast critters; I love drawing cards more than anything, and I’ll take value over speed any time. New Phyrexia, Old Decks

Hi all and welcome back to another installment of my writing attempts. Strap your goggles on real tight, ’cause we’re diving straight in! Continue reading

Sculpting white silver

This post is a continuation of Mono White Silver.

The first version of every deck I make is mostly theory-based and therefore not initially equipped to do serious battling with. Not everyone can make decklists like PVDDR can, right? So a few days ago I launched the first version of my new white/silver (meaning artifacts) Prototype Portal-deck. I played a bit with it (just goldfish, unfortunately) and now I’m here to share the changes I’ve made. Now the deck should be ready to enter the final phase of testing: playing real-life opponents to interact with. Continue reading

Mono White Silver

New sets mean new opportunities. The latest Magic set, Scars of Mirrodin, did not disappoint. Scars presented opportunities for new cards to shine (see: Mimic Vat), opportunities for old cards to shine (see: Phyrexian Devourer). Scars also had one card that I could make shine while doing the same with other cards. The card; Prototype Portal. The other cards; Mono White Silver Control. Continue reading
