Third time comes the harm

Hi all, and welcome back here after a while. The last time I talked to you (and some time before that), I was writing about my Nacatl Sundial deck, better known as Intihuatana. The Walking Dead Flare

After a few hypothetical decks centered around Chandra the Firebrand, it is time to unleash a real deck, my second deck with Innistrad cards. It is one of the decks that I sort-of previewed a few weeks ago right after Innistrad came out, albeit a bit different from what I did there. Still, it’s good to see good ideas not going to waste. For Rick

Alternate title: how to find joy in the things that restrict you (and how restriction isn’t limiting at all)

For years now, Rick is my best friend. We met through a mutual Magic-playing friend who we both knew independently. While he faded away from Magic, Rick stuck around in my local playing ground, and therefore in my circle of friends. He’s been there ever since. He can be a bit stubborn at times, however. That is why I’m dedicating this next deck to him. And just by those words, he will know enough. A tattoo

I think I want a tattoo. This thought has gone through my head for numerous years now. It’s a recurring idea that occasionally gets rekindled. The latest rekindling was this saturday, when my neighbour from across the street showed his back. I knew his upper arms were inked but had no idea they were connected through his back. It was an amazing piece of art that came to fruition in a conversation between the tattoo-artist and the tattooee. Continue reading
